Sheba...

The print, "Sheba," is a portrait of my first falconry bird. Sheba died of Aspergillosis on January 5, 1995. During her three years on this earth, she taught me many things and brought a tremendous amount of joy to my life.

In her memory, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each of these prints will be donated to The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota. The Raptor Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of raptors. On an annual scale, their efforts focus on the rehabilitation of over 650 raptors, the education of over 80,000 people of all ages, and the study of various components of raptor populations. In the arena of raptor medicine, the study of aspergillosis, its diagnosis and cure, has been in the forefront for the past 20 years. They have developed a diagnostic tool which enables them to detect potential aspergillosis not only in raptors but in other birds as well.

I can't think of a more fitting tribute to a being whose life made my life so much richer.
